Some of these I can legitimately understand why they've been left behind. Things like Contests, Safari Zones and Secret Bases are all pretty big features, and while I'd love to see all of them in a single game, that is a shit ton of work that I can understand them just not being there.

That being said, walking Pokemon and triple/rotation battles straight up should be in the game. Rotation battles are just singles but better.

Sure, but look at the shear amount of stuff in Odyssey and BotW. Most Nintendo games take all the time they need in order to ensure their games are as unforgettable as possible, but Pokemon doesn't seem to be allowed the time it needs.
