Being the first on to pass on a presentation is legitimately a clever choice
+No one else has passed yet so the teacher has no one to compare your work you with.
+Teacher is more patient with you because it thinks you’re responsible by default just for offering yourself first.
+Classmates indirectly start liking you more.
+Most classmates won’t pay you attention because they will be busy with their presentations so you won’t feel a full pressure.
+Mistakes are passed by the teacher.
+Mistakes won’t be passed by the classmates, but they will quickly forget about them because they will only remember the mistakes from the last people that pass.

In my school, the first presenters were usually given bonus points in return.
