There's a theory that people who were "born rich" (or worked up to become bonafide millionaire/billionaires, but still started at relatively above-average, top-25% superjoes) are disconnected from reality to some degree. Something like the apocryphal saying, "My princess, our people don't have bread to eat!" "Then let them eat cake".

There are workaholic millionaires who expect their employees to pull the same weight they do, ignoring they don't have mansions, yachts, or even a good bed, or even the same drive in life (being the magnificent engine of this wondrous corporate machine… or a cheap, standard, easily-replaceable cog)

Current objective: Survive
Secondary objective: Pay overdue bills
Bonus objective: Pay current bills on time (chance of credit card limit increase)

Minimum wage should still be a Living wage to at least give you enough money to rent a room.

"But then they'll just rise the prices of everything!"

Oh? Then I guess the Living Wage must increase with it?

In the end, it means I have we roof over our heads and the billionaires buy one less summer mansion that year.
