Now we really need Heihachi and Akira as actual characters in the roster, just so we can have the ultimate (pun not intended) fighting game crossover match: Street Fighter X King of Fighters X Tekken X Virtua Fighter.

And before someone brings up that Akira is already an Assist Trophy… true, but it uses his old polygonal model from the first Virtua Fighter, so they could technically still make him playable using his modern appearance from the later games.
