About

Delicious in Dungeon, known in Japanese as Danjon Meshi, is a fantasy comedy manga series written by Ryoko Kui. The series follows an adventuring party on a quest while striving to save money by cooking monsters they slay in a dungeon. The manga ran for nearly 10 years and an anime adaptation debuted on Netflix in 2024, leading to an increased online presence and fandom surrounding the series that year.

History

Danjon Meshi is written and illustrated by Ryoko Kui and ran from February 2014 to September 2023 in Harta magazine.[1] The series follows an adventuring party of Laios, Marcille, Chilchuck and Senshi on a quest to retrieve Laios' sister after she was eaten by a dragon in a dungeon. However, the party is short on money, and Laios endeavors to cook monsters the adventuring party slays on their journey. The manga was well-received by both critics and readers.[2][3]
