Notes:

For those not savvy, in the Americas expansion for Medieval 2: Total War, the primary strength of the Apaches is that they can steal technology from their enemies.

This only applies to the Europeans though, and only really the ability to produce guns and breed horses. You can't attack the other Native American factions and take, say, their knowledge of how to dig an aqueduct or build a defensive wall or a road.

It's especially egregious because your immediate neighbors are the Chichimeca tribes, whom are treated in-game as basically the Apaches with more buildings. So you start the game with a faction just to your south that's you but stronger, hates your guts, and can move faster than you at the start.

It's not a broken campaign, it's just a little annoying and slows down your early game.
