People on Reddit and Twitter started sharing r posted side-by-side photos of an actual FBI bombing suspect and a college student named Sunil Tripathi, who had gone missing about a month before the marathon inci- information too. For example, Andrew Kaczynski of BuzzFeed sent out the "misinformation to his 81,000 followers" and then "quickly followed up with: 'Wow Reddit was right about the missing Brown student. But was the speculation about Tripathi driven by critical thinking? No. It was driven by assumptions, hastiness, and foolishness.
