Eh, I think two eyes looks a bit better in "realistic" 3D. Seems like it'd go further into uncanny territory if he had the cyclops look. Plus, I think it'd probably be easier to animate, especially blinking.

I mean, Sonic can still look good even without the "connected" eyeballs.
