I really hate how criticism of the Star Wars sequels degenerated into political bullshit.

On the criticism end (which I'm on considering I think the sequels suck) you have a vocal minority of dipshits screeching "reeeee SJW movie female protagonist" instead of addressing the flaws in the writing and characterisation, which has resulted in a lot of the film's most vocal defenders unfairly depicting critics of the films as alt-right trolls and incels.

Whatever happens in Rise of Skywalker, the real wars won't be in space, they'll be in the fandom.
