I've done some thinking about how Travis could keep his recharging mechanic while keeping it relatively decent. Instead of a jerking motion, Travis could instead just hold his beam katana in front of him, like how Ike and Link do in their taunts. You hold down B to charge, and when you let go, Travis releases a small burst of energy around him as he finishes. The longer you hold, the stronger the blast. That way, it serves as a recharge mechanic, and an attack.

My main hope for the if/when of Travis is grappling the hell out of people.
