"I don’t know if you guys are paying attention on Twitter, but the artist who does Manic Pixie Nightmare Girls has been getting some attention after Oney posted a comic she did where her self-insert acted like a jerk to a strawman character and she’s been getting backlash for it and doubling down, while the internet has embraced strawman character as sympathetic.

I think she’s missing the point of a lot of the criticism, but I also think that a lot of her more negative behaviors are her lashing out over being hurt in the past and not knowing how to better deal with those feelings, and I wanted to explore that a little. But I don’t have Photoshop on my laptop so I used MS Paint instead.
