It would be cruel to talk to a homeless guy about a fictional pizzeria for hours instead of giving him an actual slice of pizza.

To be fair, early FNaF games were still fairly simple compared to what came afterwards, so theorizing about them was still a sane thing to do. Today, however, you would rather try to make head or tails out of Kingdoms Hearts lore instead of FNaF lore and it would be less of a headache. I fell off the franchise mostly because of that.
