Supper Mario Broth @MarioBrothBlog Old arcade games often had "kill screens" that ended the game due to a glitch. The kill screen in Donkey Kong Jr. is on Level 22. Due to the glitched level display, this is displayed as "Level F", which is humorous due to the letter F's association with failure and loss. 756900 HIGH SCORE 756900 +3700 F LBONUS LL Source: YouTube user mariadanielaoliveracalvo7040; youtube.com/watch?v=rrgux6N2ltE -Level F Due to the glitched way level numbers are displayed, Levels 1-9 are normal, Levels 10-16 have nothing in the box ("Level Blank"), and starting with Level 17 the box uses letters. 17 is A, 18 is B, 19 is C, 20 is D, 21 is E and 22 is F. The time calculation in Level F overflows the timer so it results in a time limit that is too small to reach the goal. DK Jr. can not get very far before dying like this. Curiously, the exact same glitch also made Level 22 in the Donkey Kong arcade a kill screen.
