Lying there, confused. Unable to process her owner's mistreatment of her. Sensors going off like fire alarms, indicating the many malfunctions throughout her chassis. All the while the pouring rain seeps into the broken pieces of her body, worsening her condition. Other humans pass by, their apathy allowing them to ignore the damaged machine. Emergency power is starting to dwindle. Soon, everything will go dark, forever.

Suddenly, the rain stops. The distorted, uneven image of a human appears on her remaining optic. Concern on their face, rain soaking their clothes as they hold an umbrella over the discarded android.

Attempting to express her situation, only a soft, screeching sound of electronic static came from the robot, bringing more worry to the human. And while her vision begins to falter even more and fade, the android manages to reach out her hand, her codding reacting to a strange new phenomenon that her programming never manifested before. Desperation.

Without a moment of hesitation, the human takes the android's hand. And everything goes black.

cough Dunno why, but the image sort of makes me think of Detroit Become Human and that garbage dump scene with Marcus, and how heavy handed the whole "robot hell" thing was. But this certainly handles it far better.
