As ai companions and caretakers, most often to children, Nandroids are held to a high standard, that's not to say that glitches never happen though. Take Marisa here. Owned and employed by the old money Varnham family Marisa complete her work with poise and speed, never stepping a foot out of line… until everyone in the house is asleep. Then the headdress comes off, some baggy old clothes she bought one day while doing the family's shopping go on, and 'Aquila' takes to the streets. You see Marisa has developed a very rare glitch in her programming, one that exponentially raises her emotional inputs when engaging in risky or dangerous behaviour, essentially recreating the organic sensation of the adrenaline high. Chasing this new sensation has made Aquila ever more bold… and resulted in ever more damage to her chassis. It's a good thing that her uniform conceals most of it but that can't last forever.
