This is derived from the Iron Front, a pro-democratic German paramilitary organization in the Weimar Republic that consisted of social democrats, trade unionists, and liberals. The three arrows in the logo represent anti-fascism, anti-monarchism, and anti-communism. Nobody who knows what those arrows mean would consider an authoritarian communist an ally
