On November 15th, 2023, X^[1] user @DonaldTrumpJr quote-reposted a post claiming that the State Department gave the greenlight "on contested sanctions waiver that frees upwards of $10 billion for Tehran as its terror proxy Hamas wages war on Israel." In his response, Trump Jr. wrote, "I know you’re not allowed to use the R word that was a big part of our vernacular growing up if you’re my age, but there has to be exceptions, right??? Because this is f&$king re$?&;ed!," garnering over 11,000 likes in a day.

That day, Caitlyn Jenner responded to the post on X,^[2] writing, "I’ll say it RETARTED!" misspelling the word "retarded," garnering over 13,000 likes and 9,700 reposts in a day, effectively ratio-ing Trump Jr. (shown below).
