And because Hilter's personally didn't like the smell of smoke.
A lot of the third Reich's laws simply existed because Hitler liked or dislike a thing, like how he banned experimentation on animals and severly punished animal cruelty because he liked dogs.
Kinda remind me of a similar thing in France: not many peoples know that, but Mother's day only became an officially recognized and popular day in France during the Vichy's regime, in an attempt to boost fertility rate and glorify the traditional role of women as walking-wombs.
