I really wanna know the FULL story about why they all left at once. Mike Z just said he laid everyone off because he ran out of cash, but everyone else said they left cause they all seemingly decided he was too much of an asshole all of a sudden. Now this is where I show my bias, but you don't spend 10 years working with someone and then just burn the bridge in the most public way possible without an EXTRA inciting incident. There's another factor in all this we're missing, and I think it all goes back to why Alex, the Miyamoto to Mike Z's Yokoi, being ousted in a MUCH less public fashion partway through Indivisible.

I something listen to a podcast Castle Super Beast, in one episode they go in depth of what happened, because the guys who host the podcast: Woolie and Pat have connections, they do an explanation and basically: MikeZ was hard to work with (think Randy Pitchford but less physically aggressive), at some point the employees made a deal with him, that he would leave the company with a buyout. Eventually tough MikeZ just requested an even bigger payout that the one it was agreed. So they begun to work on another deal, but it became clear that he was just not going to leave, which led to a mass walk out, and after that MikeZ just fired everyone left because "lack of funds"
