I remember the local laundromat in Brooklyn that I used to do my laundry at. There was this Puerto Rican brother, l'll call him Jose, for the sake of the story, he used to work there. One day I was folding my clothes and he's folding his on the table opposite from me. We were chatting about something, I can't remember what. The door opens and into the laundromat comes in this guy. We both look over and as he's making his way over to us in trying to figure what he wants. I could this guy was a jehovah witness, because of the stack of watchtower magazines he has in his hand. I keep looking over as this guy is talking to some people. Jose, on the other hand, had looked at him for a split second and went back folding. Finally, he makes it over to us. Without batting an eye and not even looking at the man's face, Jose digs into his shirt and pulls out of his Santeria beads. The jehovah witness guy doesn't even get a word in and he just sighs turns around and leaves. Jose just looks at me and smiles and keeps on folding.
