Doesn't that just mean that the individual worker ant is replaceable, not that they're communists? Also they DON'T distribute the labour evenly if 30% do 70% of the work, that's by definition unequal distribution of labour. This Heider guy isn't very good at making consistent arguments, is he?

Yeah, I guess. I have a hard time detecting sarcasm and such and tend to take a lot of things overly seriously. But I do think this Heider guy genuinely intended his post to constitute an at least partially serious argument, so I think it still stands.

I just don't like communism, man.
