OK Civilian This creature appears to be very similar in appearance to a human, although mentally inferior in almost all regards. Groups of these creatures always accompany other alien species on Terror Missions, although their purpose on these missions is currently unknown. In combat, the species become suicidal: running into active gunfire, sitting on live grenades and force-feeding themselves to the various attack beasts they work alongside with. This activity, combined with their general human appearance, causes severe morale loss to any troops that witness the demise of these pathetic creatures first-hand.

Chryssalid The game features an alien enemy called a Chryssalid that has a life cycle almost identical to real life parasitoid wasps (as well as the Xenomorphs from the Alien movies which themselves The crob-like claws of this creature are g powerful weopon in cloge combab. What fans of the game don't know however is that it predicted a real scientific discovery made that same year! A paper published in the July 1994 issue of the journal Animal Beahviour (merely 5 months after the game's release) called "Usurpation of host behaviour by a parasitic wasp" was the first ever documented examination of what would later be called the bodyguard manipulation!
