Deekin is such a champ, I still remember how you give Deekin a stuffed bear that was given by Tymofarrar and it had a message that basically encouraged Deekin to follow his dreams. Such a sweet little moment from what came from a D&D Dragon, which for lack of a better word, are usually assholes.

Deekin Scalesinger is a Kobolt bard companion first featured in the "Shadows of Undrentide" expansion pack for the game "Neverwinter Nights" and later featured in the second expansion pack "Hordes of Underdark". He looks up to your character with absolute devotion since you libererate him from his first master a dragon named Tymofarrar. Your character can either protect, be kind and teach Deekin about the world or abuse him.

The character you make in "Shadows of Undrentide" is a different character than the one you make in the main game (often refereed to as "the Hero of Neverwinter"). But in "Hordes of Underdark" the character you make is the same character as the one you made in "Shadows of Underdark", meaning Deekin will remember you. In "Hordes of Underdark" Deekin is the only companion that can accompany you from the very start of the game until the very end. In Hordes of Underdark Deekin is also starting to grow dragon wings making him go down the "Dragon disciple class", you can either encourage him to go down this path, remain a bard or a balance between these two. At the end of the game you get a summarization of what happend to him after the games ending depending on your characters decision and how how you treated him.

He also has a small cameo in Neverwinter Nights 2 where he is a vendor that sells class armor. You can ask him about himself and the events of Undrentide and Underdark.
