I don't really think so. From what I've heard, Miura's health was always kinda bad and it only really gotten better recently. After the golden age is where it start getting bad (he is way thinner when compared to his fat looking early picture)
He definitely isn't out of love given that the art each and every chapter keeps getting better.

His editors and assistants have to tell him that "No, you can't make sure every pixel on a page is perfect just because you can."

That guy is very much in love with berserk.
