I still recall how some people got annoyed they got rid of her accent in Twin Snakes and MGS4 even though Kojima basically confirmed "she grew up in the US, she wasn't supposed to have such a thick Chinese accent to begin with."

I mean I get it, but this is from the same series as poisonous zanzibar hamsters, mooing unmanned weapons, and guys that have live hornet nests in their bodies. The stuff that happens in the cutscenes of Twin Snakes is tame by comparison.
