One observation I might give is that the whole, "people get more conservative as they get older thing" has mostly been disproven. But it DOES hint at the reality: People get more conservative when they become more financially secure . The reason a lot of people DIDN'T become more conservative in this day and age is because conservatives are all about protecting their own finances and the people of today don't have finances to protect, so they lean towards the help that liberals offer… It's the part of liberalism and conservatism that people often forget. Liberals are about helping people get what they don't have, conservatism is about protecting the things people already have.
