Tomorrow, when boys find this brahmin calf They'll put him in a traders' caravan To carry goods across the barren wasteland GO So that survivors from the nearby vault Can carry on long after everyone... ...less fortunate Has been evaporated in a flash of light Not to the brahmin, Staring at the sky Confused, yearning for a patch Of grass That might exist some place Among the stars As scores of stars, like these ones, Quad-reflected In dark as desert night sky eyes of brahmin, One day, long time ago, have shined Not millions of light years far away But mere thousands of feet Above their own respective epicenters Reducing cities, villages, and homes To what the military'd call the ground zero They, too have gone out with the flash And aren't around to give names to anything "Pow Far outside of all blast radu That were drawn with fire So long ago That even brahmin, In their own way, would wonder Why they still long For fields of pasture green Thus puzzled, our young calf falls asleep Having a moment prior youned with both his heads In unison Graphics by Badamtots based on the poem "The Two-Headed Calf" by Laura Gilpin Text by Cromwell32 inspired by Fallout 2 of Black Isle Studios
