Quick rundown of the situation: at the Oscars, Chris Rock decided it would be a good idea to flap his yap about how voice acting is great because how "easy" it is. He joked about how you sit down for an hour, read a few lines that someone else wrote, and then they give you millions of dollars.

That is a very arrogant, ignorant statement that is a major slap in the face to all of the actors who do voice work full time. Most of them barely get any recognition for their contributions to the movies and shows they do, while when a celebrity decides to phone in their voice for a movie, they get featured in the trailer and footage of the actor gets put in the TV spot. Meanwhile, the animators and less well known professional VAs in other films don't get any promotion at all, because the studio doesn't care about them. After all, they're too busy making sure the public knows that Zac Effron's voice is in The Lorax!
