God I never hate this shit less any time I see it. This is the single main reason I can't stand a lot of localizations, because their attitude is not "How can I make the original wording carry over correctly?", it's "I can do better than the original wording", arrogance bordering on contempt for the original work.

Annoyingly I've seen this style becoming more prevalent even in fansubs (usually minus the contempt at least), where previously fansubbing groups were a lot more hesitant to over-localize, presumably out of protectiveness of their niche.

"You're already dead" is one of the most badass lines in anime history and I'm thankful Fist of North Star wasn't a product of the current era where localizers would insist on destroying what was a perfectly great line because they loved 4kids censorship.
