![r/unpopularopinion u/[deleted] . 7y The Nintendo Switch is doomed to fail UNPOPULAR OPINION It looks like it'll turn out an exact repeat of the Wii and Wii U. Hit even has the same gimmick as the Wii U except they've improved it slightly. It'll start off great with Skyrim Remastered, Zelda U etc, then it'll run dry if it doesn't sell XBONE/PS4 levels which it's unlikely too. No third party support means the system barely stands a chance. Just like the previous two systems. The idea is neat but it's clearly going to have massive issues, the Wii U gamepad looked great but that had problems are was often underutilised. O The only way they can assure big money is to kill of the DS line and force people to buy this for their next Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem etc. Even then it won't be HUGE numbers but it'll prolong it's life slightly. Obviously people are still hyped but after the last two blunders no wonder someone would be cynical about the Switch. Archived post.
