Deadly traps might be controversial, but when you're warned ahead of time by both NPCs and the DM that the dungeon you're exploring is particularly deadly THEN ignore context clues.. well, I mean, you're kinda asking for it at that point. | /r/dndmemes

You ignore the DM's warnings about deadly traps and open the chest without checking it first. A powerful spray shoots out, doing enough damage for instant death and also turning you into stone, preventing any possible revival. The party manages to get you to the entrance of the dungeon only for the party dog to start sniffing around at the base of the corpse turned statue.
