Despite this mystery having been confirmed as solved when Kurapica was featured shirtless on the cover of Hunter x Hunter volume 14, many fans still debate Kurapica's gender. It does not help when Kurapica cross dresses to disguise himself in the York Shin arc. While most fans do think of Kurapica as male, there are still many that insist he is female.

People are still confused even after 10 years...
