r/hatethissmug. 27d ago Any_Wasabi_5233 JC's Sonic.EXE is the bane of my existence I hate this "Verity" Minecraft horror mod I keep on seeing Gaming I get the concept, and the execution is a little strange imo, but seeing all the Minecraft content farms latch their fangs into it has annoyed me greatly. I don't know, I'm just not a fan of it. I think it's generic and doesn't really do much that other MC horror mods don't do. Also, the custom models used makes the whole thing look more like one of those old clickbait YouTube shorts with the hyperrealistic 3D models of characters like Spider-Man in Minecraft, if you know what I mean. They don't look good.

Dimensional Doors - Not even a true Minecraft mod - Only got popular because of Al slop, weird tiktok trends, and brainrot - Milked to death by youtube and tiktok content farms to the point of Horror Skunk also joining in - Doesn't fit the game at all, looks like a knockoff made in Roblox - Minecraft's biggest larper, probably in the same level as Mr Beast and the content farms from tiktok and youtube - Cave Dweller 2.0 - Decent fanbase, but ruined by Al slop-loving tiktok users - What Minecraft horror mods should be. - It isn't milked to death by content farms, tiktok trends, nor Al sloppers - Has a cool dimension and can actually be quite scary and useful at times - Fits the game perfectly and captures the feeling of what made old Minecraft eerie - Has an entity that despite being out of place like Verity, it actually works on making your surroundings feel eerie -Has an eldritch dimension called Limbo, which is home to this same entity, the only way to escape it is by reaching the fabric of reality in its pure liquid form
