Sure by the end of it *SPOILERS* the real Pinkie remained and everything worked out, but the test was for the Pinkies to stare at a wall, and if distracted they get sent back? All she had to do was ask all of them "What element do you represent?" or "When is your birthday?" Simple questions would of made them find out who's the real Pinkie a lot easier. The test set out in this episode was to risky, if not unfair since you know.. Pinkie could of glanced to the side and WHOOP! Gone.

The problem, OP, is that Pinkie has a photographic memory, and so do the clones. The real Pinkie gave the clones a crash course on her life story, and knowing Pinkie's motor mouth she can teach them a LOT in a short amount of time. Add onto the fact that the clones learn more and more about Ponyville and Pinkie's life with each passing second, and the quiz would've been so long that the clones would start slipping out of town hall before Twilight can quiz all of them

Also want to include the fact that NONE of the cloned Pinkie Pies knew the names of Pinkie's friends.. the real Pinkie Pie had to teach them so I doubt they know anything else that has happened, or what their own history is for that matter.
