Probably because he's a lovable moron instead of a hateful mosogynist.

Oddly enough, as reused as the old formula of Johnny getting his ass kicked by the many women he flirts with, it was still paced well enough with the jokes of the episode's plot. It was also great considering Johnny was the right amount of stupid that a comedic cartoon needed, the kind of stupid cartoons of today really can't strive for as they end up drooling nutcases.

Also, now that I think about it, it was always a strange sight when Johnny actually got the girl (for however short a time it lasted). Like the anthro-wolf girl, or the doe who could somehow drive a car… I also remember when he dated the President's rebellious daughter, only for it to end with Johnny stomping out that rebellious side harder than Mario stomps goombas.
