Makes me think of some of the Paper Mario games where you can get a game over doing stuff like this.

My favorite has to be the Shadow Queen's offer at the end of TTYD, when she gives you the choice of either fighting against or joining her.

And how if you choose to just give in, you get a non-standard game over about the world being shrouded in darkness following her uncontested rise to power.

Or, for that matter, the one at the very beginning of the game, when the narrator asks you if you're ready for an adventure.
