Dude, if you're unemployed I don't think you'll be worrying about keeping your pokemon from past gens or extra storage. If their servers are down in 5 to 10 years I'm sure people will see it coming and be able to get them off the servers. Don't want your kids tying a credit card to the account? That's what the cards you can get in most stores are for. It's 5 dollars a year, not 15 a month, so its not liek paying for a world of warcraft subscription.
