Yumeko Grabbing Her Own Boob or City Boy Yumeko, also known as the Kakegurui Meme or Kakegurui Masho, is an image of the character Yumeko Jabami from the anime series Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler, depicting her holding her own breast and laughing. A screenshot of the scene, originating from season two, episode two, started circulating online as early as January 2019 on X / Twitter, continuing to spread over the following years. In January 2026, the image became associated with the City Boy! meme on TikTok, inspiring memes that edit the image to include the caption "City Boy!" It also became a more general subject of edits and memes, including redraws that depict other popular characters in the same pose.

Origin

On January 15th, 2019, the second episode of the second season of Kakegurui, an anime series about high-stakes gambling, was released in Japan.

In the episode, several characters, including Yumeko Jabami, play a game where their fingers are placed in a guillotine and they must bet on whose finger will be cut off. At around the 16:20 mark, Yumeko grabs her own breast while boasting about her confidence that she will win, seemingly getting aroused by the idea.^[1]

On January 16th, X^[2] user @ShroomMeister posted a screenshot from the scene as part of a thread summarizing the episode. This is the earliest known appearance of the screenshot online.

On January 18th, 2019, Imgur^[3] user birdtse posted a more complete image of Yumeko grabbing her breast, depicting her whole body, garnering over 49,000 views in seven years.

For example, on July 11th, 2024, Redditor ContributionOk4879 posted it to the /r/Kakegurui^[4] subreddit in a post titled, "So why exactly IS Yumeko like… that," wondering why she gets aroused while gambling, garnering over 1,000 upvotes and 80 comments in about two years.

2026 TikTok Memes / City Boy! Yumeko

In January 2026, TikTokers began using the image of Yumeko grabbing her breast as a reaction image, also editing it in a variety of ways. The meme became associated with the "City Boy!" meme. It is unclear who first posted the Yumeko meme in this context.

For example, on January 12th, 2026, the meme was posted as a comment under TikToker^[5] @salvianor's post, in which he shared a City Boy edit of the New Restaurant Called Karma meme, gaining over 1,400 likes in three days.

On January 13th, numerous TikTokers flooded to a then-week-old Yumeko edit by TikToker^[6] @chaxcc to share edits of the Yumeko boob grab meme in the comments, with the top example gaining over 2,700 likes in two days. One of the edits shared is a Lime Lips edit.

One of the most popular edits places Yumeko under the words "City Boy!" and surrounds her with fire, although it is unclear who made the edit.

For example, on January 15th, 2026, TikToker^[7] @h00pify posted a video about the "City Boy!" meme, resulting in user Takuya Yagami commenting with the meme to over 500 likes in under a day.

On January 19th, Redditor u/Corruptsoul01 posted a redraw of the meme to the /r/ArlecchinoMains^[8] subreddit, purportedly originally by TikToker^[9] @jamiecoser, garnering over 520 upvotes in a day.
