A group of demons have decided it would be hilarious to settle an argument by kidnapping a group of humans and forcing them to fight each other. Of course, being demons they try to stack the odds in their favor by giving a human of their choice a fragment of their power, and the patron of the last man standing will be declared the victor. You have sharp claws, a tough hide, and a colourful assortment of horns, quills, and other additions to make you look like a proper demon's champion. While compelled to serve you, it does so with distain, and may turn on you out of spite if not handled carefully That little voice of reason and mercy in the back of your mind is gone. Easy enough, right? Just don't expect to get that promise in writing Your patron's greed pollutes your soul, manifesting as gluttony. You must eat and eat and eat, almost completely without regard to how disgusting the fare is or the toll it takes on you. Give up the 'gift The power your patron gave you is the anchor that holds you here. By finding a place where the barriers between dimensions are weak, and straining your will to the limit to cast away that power, the connection will be broken, and you will return to earth. Such a process takes time, leaves you vulnerable, and is ruined if you call on the power for any reason. it up Ham It is not enough to defeat your enemies - you have to stop and explain to them just how pathetic they really are. Your patron is in your head, ordering you about. Sometimes it's merely a presence, a pressure on your skull. Other times he wrestles you for control of your body and tries to force you down a different path. Maybe you can change his mind, before he changes yours Find the path The construction of this dimension was handled by the lowest-bid demonic contractors. There are lots of cracks and distortions, and one of them might even land you back on earth! You just have to find it...and hope nothing follows you through. Of course, this does mean you've escaped with a fair chunk of your patron's power, and he's going to want that back someday Make a contract Maybe, just maybe, there's a demon out there willing to make a reasonable offer for your service. Being in a contract will ensure your survival, but damn you to servitude. Just how bad this will be is impossible to say
