Thin privilege is never having to inquire or worry what the weight limit on exercise machines are. My husband and I are both fat and we both want to become more active. We are both over 300lbs. Most exercise machines have weight limits on them, generally being 250-300lbs. So buying an at home treadmill or recumbent bike (for my husband, who has two bad knees resulting from football injuries), that doesn't cost thousands and thousands of dollars is impossible Therefore, in order for us to invest in at home exercise equipment we would have to lose weight to even think about it. l've even encountered wanting to apply for a gym membership where I live, only to find out that the equipment has a weight limit that wouldn't accommodate me.
