Yeah music snobbery/elitism tends to bug me about as… well most other groups of extreme elitists.

Sure I don't like Justin Bieber and certain other pop musicians (not all, just some, as I do feel the amount of good modern pop is still decently large), but at the same time I don't say crap like "I wish everyone would stop listening to this person because I say so and everyone must follow my opinion!" or that the person's fans should "go die."

I also get a bit annoyed when people ask "why is it Bieber has sold more albums than The Beatles?!" The Beatles were at the height of their popularity during the pre-Internet days, back then you had to buy all of your music in physical formats from record shops, and chances were good they'd be sold out a lot. Modern musicians have the benefit of the internet in order to get their music out all over the world, and online shops like iTunes allow you to buy full albums instantly in the comfort of your own home. I'm sure if The Beatles had the benefit of the internet back in the 60s and 70s then they would have easily matched up the sales numbers that Bieber or One Direction get (honestly I don't hate One Direction, they have some catchy songs, and with them maturing a bit on their most recent album I get the feeling that if they keep going that route they could legitimately become this generation's version of The Beatles, transitioning from "pretty boy band" to "serious music group").
