Believe me, there's a huge difference between a reader blacklist and a journalistic blacklist.
If readers blacklist a journalist, it just means that they personally won't read things written by them.
If journalists blacklist a developer, it means that the developer doesn't get ANY coverage what-so-ever from any mainstream site. Since that sort of coverage is the only advertisement minor developers get, they effectively starve them to death.
You can see the journalistic blacklist in action regarding The Fine Young Capitalists, who STILL haven't received any articles, despite being a very well thought out feminist charity.
