CODE <MASSIVE, MASSIVE HEADS UP, #GG> l'm not sure if anyone has realized this yet (judging by what l've seen, I don't think ANYONE's picked up on it, since it's beein very, very subtle so far), but anti-#GG figureheads have been quietly taking steps to move themselves into a position where they can reach out to the rest of the "gamer" public (the ones clueless about the ongoing #GG conflict) from a more unassailable position RED What they are starting to do is quietly bury the whole "gamers are dead" sentiment, while subtly spinning the narrative to say that the people supporting #GamerGate are not TRUE gamers, and JUST an army of trolls and harassers APART FROM the rest of the gamer community. It is my belief that a big part of the "trump card" they are going to play this coming week will be the kick-off of this new strategy, and if they beat us to the punch on this, it could make things difficult for the movement. We NEED to start getting more proactive about reaching out to the public, like 100-fold above what we've been doing currently, and we NEED to start doing this 2 f------ davs ago PRESS LOCK AND SET IT FREE #GamerGate Also, one of the big things that really tipped me off to this new strategy, is that if you pay attention to what a lot of prominent anti- #GG say to each other OUTSIDE the various hashtags on Twitter, THEY are already in the process of dropping Gawker Media and Vox Media, etc. like a bag of hot s---, and distancing themselves from those sites. Those sites are officially toxic assets to anti-#GG now since they have no real use anymore, and are slowly being dumped by them We have to keep the pressure on those sites, but we also need to find some way to focus on getting our true intent WELL BEYOND the Twitter movement, because the way things are slowly being moved, we could find ourselves at odds with the very people we are fighting for. Things were different when anti-GG took the hardline stance against gamers. Now that they see how powerful and influential we can be, and now that they have real fear of what could happen if we got the rest of OUR PEOPLE involved in this, they are trying to find any back-door they can to weasel through and subjugate We gotta step it up. We gotta get a bit more mainstream than we are currently. We have to reach out to the rest of our community before these f------ spinsters do. Author has 304 answers and 740.1K answer views. 5y Not that I care that much either way, but it did expose a lot of corrupt game developers and game journalists. X Journalists would make claims of people like Anita Sarkeesian "playing video games all her life" when she openly admitted many times she is not a gamer and only starter recently (when it wasn't for an interview). Various developers trading sex or money for good reviews got exposed, journalists who accepted got exposed. People became a bit more critical about supporting a game just because the developer has a victim complex stating tat their game could have only failed because of sexism, instead of their own poor developing skills. What really sealed the deal was opposition often faking their own harassment. Anita sarkeesian and Zoe Quinn have been caught multiple times screenshotting "harassment" while showing that the harrasser's account name in the login. Or when someone called the police to help Sarkeesian against a "very real threat" she was posting about, only for police to find the harasser's messages were coming from her IP address. So, they are going to drop the "no true scotman" nuke now, huh? Well, I don't think that this is going to work considering that they don't have any evidence while we do. Also lol at them backstabing their bosses, that's going to look so nicely in their curriculums.
