Christian Weston Chandler added 5 new photos. 3 hrs I have just been clued into the topic of GamerGate. After finding its page on the Wikipedia, apparently female gamers and creators are getting a bad rap, and it has been made worse as of just this last August. I, personally, see no problem in women and girls playing or creating video games, and being their own avatar of choice of either gender, creature or whatever. I, myself, really like playing as my own female avatars, including, but not limited to, my own Mii on my 3DS and WiU. (The Tomodachi Life photo amongst this set is actually a cap from SSB3DS NOT Tomodachi Life). Anyway, this form of misogyny amongst the Gamers, as well as the DAMN Internet Trolls and CyberBullies who are taking part of this GamerGate as well, Plain Pisses Me Off as well! This Cruelty to women and all people in general Must Be Stopped and Put To An End! I stand with you all, my Sisters and Gal-Pals, very much. Thank You #GamerGate

Author has 304 answers and 740.1K answer views. 5y Not that I care that much either way, but it did expose a lot of corrupt game developers and game journalists. X Journalists would make claims of people like Anita Sarkeesian "playing video games all her life" when she openly admitted many times she is not a gamer and only starter recently (when it wasn't for an interview). Various developers trading sex or money for good reviews got exposed, journalists who accepted got exposed. People became a bit more critical about supporting a game just because the developer has a victim complex stating tat their game could have only failed because of sexism, instead of their own poor developing skills. What really sealed the deal was opposition often faking their own harassment. Anita sarkeesian and Zoe Quinn have been caught multiple times screenshotting "harassment" while showing that the harrasser's account name in the login. Or when someone called the police to help Sarkeesian against a "very real threat" she was posting about, only for police to find the harasser's messages were coming from her IP address.
