Calculating for inflation:

$12.98 in 1928 is the same as $179.70 in 2015.
$16.69 in 1928 is the same as $231.06 in 2015.

Either those are extremely high-end luxury swimsuits (which wouldn't be too surprising considering Asami's company made them) or the price's are not adjusted to match the year they supposedly come from.

The reverse calculation would be:

$12.98 in 2015 is the same as $0.98 in 1928.
$16.69 in 2015 is the same as $1.21 in 1928.
