Original characters would had been created no matter what, in the same vein as OC's of Spyro or Klonoa are still created event hough we haven't seen a new game in a long time.

Second, because it looks like you don't know, this is an actual character that was branded for Sega. He's Scourge and he was created for the official comics. He's no OC.

Third……and once again with the whole Sonic Boom Thing: YES, the Wii U game sucked, but eveything else the line got is good: Thes show is currently very popular, the 3DS game is very good and the comics are hilarius. I don't about you, but for me that's not a failure, specially when the main product wasn't the Wii U game but the show.
