ED contains facts yes. But explained by /b/-tards. So porn, gore and insults are a common subject.

So instead of "Fans of the show can be found at X", you get "The faggots who liek dis hang out at X".

So yeah, like others already said. ED isn't meant to be taken seriously. Also be aware of certain sections of the site, if you are inexperienced with the dark corners of the web you WILL be scarred for live by ED.

Even Wikipedia is under some scrutiny regarding its truthfulness and professionalism despite taking its job very seriously. Most of Wikipedia can be trusted but try telling that to the academics.

The fact that Wikipedia is a website and not a published text book seems to be enough reason for the scholars and professors to doubt it, that's why you never reference Wikipedia when writing a report in school. Use it only for scouting out other reputable sources

Let me explain- During the summer, I frequented ED because it was funny. I never took anything seriously.

I, and I believe most people, find that if someone refers to themselves under a title of association, they usually identify with the group.

I.E., you thought yourself an EDiot at one point or another.
