So as the title suggest, Google Street View is out to map and make public some imagery of Canadian arctic lands that are home to a population of polar bears. This is just another one of their special collections projects, but is set out to help monitor climate change and how it is affecting the wildlife in the north. Of course Google isn't at it alone. It's a collaboration between Google, Cape Churchill (who livestream the arctic via their mounted cameras), Wapusk National Park, and the conservation group Polar Bears International. The new footage was captured by one of Google's Trekker backpacks…
…which was itself mounted atop buggies operated by a local tour company. Anyways, if you want to learn more, check out this article here.
