I am sad to say that the last actor of the Golden Age of Hollywood has just passed away. Even though I never saw any films he did back when, I do remember him from two films of my childhood. One was in "Pete's Dragon" where he played the funny drunk lighthouse keeper Lampie, and the other was the voice of Kris Kringle in the Rankin Bass special "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". What do people here have to say about this?

I can't say I know much of Rooney's stuff except for Mad Mad World, but fuck me if I ain't legit crying over Pinette, he was one of my all-time favorite comedians
