I myself felt disoriented when I found the term Rape Culture more than often.
So I asked Google what is it.
And these are the results:

I think someone needs to make the concept of "accusation culture". In such a culture, actions involving socialization or being outgoing present such a great threat of having your life ruined by a baseless claim, that they are perceived as "not worth it". All it takes is one person with a grudge to say one sentence and destroy your odds of having any kind of normal life afterwards. Everyone simply takes the single claim as truth and does not question it.

Clearly, the victims of such accusations were just asking for it by standing out in the crowd.

EDIT: yes, rape happens, and it's a horrible thing. What I fear is what we already see happening to many people in the scenario above. Ie: tumbr post with some random guy's picture + no proof = entire internet enraged and having him hunted down

The amount of annoyance in this stupidity of 'rape culture' infuriates me.

Culture is a powerful and complex thing. It divides what makes people Germanic or Nordic, it divides people based on customs, religious interpretation, traditions, administrative views, and other stuff in which people react to regularly. Everything from how a people tolerate another to how we view our faith is defined by culture we live in. Cultures can be created easily, but impossible to change or destroy at the same time which defines the human experiences above things as original sin or even ethical viewings.

From the wiki article. . .the nutshell version of 'Rape Culture' is some kind of mythical conspiracy that cultures are used to put woman down and deny and accept rape, using 'evidence' of victim blame, denial, and down playing rape. These 'examples' are so trivial and so rare that they are often outliers, since there is no culture which condones forced sex or accepts it. Even the 'example' cultures listed like Islamic culture is just a damned stereotype of what happens in Arabic culture.

This isn't even mentioning the problems which is associated with the concept when sent into terms of American culture. No matter how some of you here may think lowly of our culture, I doubt incredibly that anyone has seen people whom do not take rape as a serious crime, which often provokes lacking pity for those accused nor do I know of a court which would look favorably on rapists. The argument of course for 'American rape culture' is because we normal folks like to see pretty women on billboards selling soap and people laugh at dirty and terrible jokes.

It's kind of like saying we have a culture designed to hate preachers and religion because I have a book filled with church jokes which I got from my evangelical camp.
